Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the practice of an Oriental medical system that originated thousands of years ago. Rooted in the knowledge that in the entire universe; the cosmos, the earth and everything in between, exists a vital life force that we call 'Qi'. In Ayurveda they call it 'prana' in Ancient Greek they referred to it as 'pneuma', translating to breath that gives life. Qi is the essence of which manifests into all forms of life & natural phenomena. Preserving and promoting a free and smooth flow of Qi is key in treating and preventing disease and serves as a basis for understanding the conditions in which the body thrives. This view serves as a foundation to gain insight to & treat all kinds of ailments and discomforts.

TCM is  comprised of many modalities which, if utilized properly, excel at ensuring this natural flow. The most common modality of TCM is Acupuncture. If you get a treatment with me you'll most likely experience Cupping, Moxibustion and/or receive Herbal Medicine recommendations in conjunction with Acupuncture. I find much of the TCM tools to be powerful in their own rite but I really enjoy using them synergistically.
